Following the recent sudden death of Bernard Weller, the business of Exactoscale Ltd has been acquired by Len Newman and Andrew Jukes.
New mail order arrangements have been set up at the above address. There will be a learning curve, so please be patient. Existing orders will also be handled from this address and outstanding credit and debit balances from previous Exactoscale orders will be recognised.
There will be changes to the product range, in particular products produced and sold by other traders will generally not be stocked. The 4mm scale product range sold by Exactoscale will focus principally on P4 standards. New products will be developed: the new driving wheels will be introduced and the NewTrack range will be completed. There will be additions to the 7mm scale range of high quality track components, drawing on the experience gained in 4mm scale.
[paragraph on interim ordering arrangements - not now applicable]
The P4Track Company will continue to appear at exhibitions and is fully integrated with Exactoscale for mail orders.
We will welcome approaches from Societies and Traders interested in developing and selling new components that make use of Exactoscale's existing knowledge base and expertise. Where components fall outside our main areas of interest, bulk supply arrangements may be possible.
Len Newman originally entered model railway manufacturing with moulded plastic track and track components for 4mm scale, setting up C&L Finescale (initially as K&L) in 1983. Len sold the company and moved away from model railways but has more recently been a key part of Exactoscale's new product development.
Andrew Jukes was a founder member of the Scalefour Society and is currently its Deputy Chairman. He has sponsored and worked with Len on the NewTrack project.
